"Alice had no idea what to do, and in despair she put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a box of comfits..." Pg.20
(Q) Why did Alice feel upset that she did not have something to give to the group of animals at first? (C) Many times in my life have I felt obligated to doing something even when I have the right to step away from the obliagation. The mouse had told the rest of the animals that Alice was to give out prizes for winning the race.(Q) For some reason Alice did not refuse and did what was told, but for what reason? (CL) Alice must have felt obligated to give out prizes because towards the beginning of the chapter, Alices says that "...It seemed quite natural to find herself talking familiarly with them, as if she had know them all her life." This most likely explains why she felt obligated to give out prizes.

"Alice replied eagerly, for she was always ready to talk about her pet..." Pg.22
(P) Alice will most likely scare off mulitple animals, like she has already done, talking about her cat Dinah. (R) Younger kids are always excited to talk about new events in their life and interests they have. Most of the time its is because they are proud of love whatever they are talking about. Alice obviously loves this cat, she expresses it lots of times by telling these animals about the cat. Everytime she talks about this cat, the animals become uncomfortable. This could explain that at times other people wish to not hear about Alice's cat, or in general do not care for childrens interests.
