"'One side will make you grow taller, and the other side will make you grow shorter.' 'One side of what? The other side of what?' thought Alice to herself. 'Of the mushroom,' said the caterpillar, just as she if she had asked it aloud; and in another moment it was out of sight." page 39
(Q) I wonder why the caterpillar disappeared? Will the mushroom always be there?(R) Alice finally has the ability to choose between growing smaller or bigger. She is small so she will choose to go bigger. If she goes to big she can probably go to the other side and make her self smaller. But it is now all on her to choose what size she really wants to be in. (E) I think the author did a good job of including that becuase she can finally be the size she wants.

"It was so long since she had been anything near the right size, that it felt quite strange at first; but she got used to it in a few minutes, and began talking to herself, as usual..." page 42
(Q)Why is there so much bad things going on with Alice? (P) I think she will never be the size she wants. She will have problems with every creature she meets. (CL) Alice is still not the size she wants to be. (R) Everything that is going on with her is not normal. Nothing of what she is going through does not happen in real life. She is going through a tough time, and nobody is even helping her
