“Alice laughed so much at this, that she had to run back into the wood for fear of them hearing her; and, when she next peeped out, the Fish-Footman was gone…”(44) (Q) Where has the Fish-Footman gone to?(CL) Alice does keep meeting new creatures that end up helping her in some way. (P) I think the Fish-Footman will help Alice also with her trying to get through the door. (C) I would of also done the same in Alice’s situation if something humorous happened then I would of laughed and ran away. (E) The author is showing us how young and childish Alice still is. Alice still laughs with all the unusual things that have happened to her during her adventure so far. “...she carried it out in the open air ‘If I don’t take this child away with me,’ thought Alice, ‘they’re sure to kill it in a day or two…”(48) (Q) Will Alice take the baby or leave it to die?(P) I think Alice is going to take the baby or leave it somewhere safe.(C) If I were in Alice’s situation I would take the baby with me.(E) The author is showing how Alice cares for others and the danger the baby is in. Alice might be willing to risk her life to keep the baby safe.(CL) The Fish-Footman did help Alice in a way through the door.
