" When the procession came oppisite to Alice, they all stopped and looked at her, and the Queen said, severely, 'Who is this?'. She said it to the Knave of Hearts, who only bowed and smiled in reply. ' Idiot1' said the Queen, tossing her head impatiently; and turning to Alice, she went on: 'What's your name, child?" page 65

(Q) How does Alice feel towards the Queen? What will she respond to her?(C) If I were in Alice's position, I would answer politely because she is the queen and she can do anything to her. (P) I think Alice will answer politely. Though if the Queen keeps on being rude to her, Alice will do the same. (R) This quote shows how strict and harsh the Queen is. I understand that she is the Queen and she can be strict, but she should honestly not be so rude and harsh because they won't like her and they won't feel good towards having her or even treating her as the Queen.(E) The author included this because the Queen is a very important part of the story and the reader should have an understanding of the kind of person she is.

"The Queen had only one way of settling all difficulties, great and small. 'Off with his head!' she said without even looking around." page 70

(Q) Why does the king want the cat dead just because of its appearance. (C) If I were Alice, I would defend the cat because it has actually helped her. (P) I think Alice will defend the cat and the cat will start helping her out more. If Alice doesn't save him, he will disappear. (R) I think that is a very cruel thing to do. Nobody should just order people to kill humans or animals just because they want to. That is why there is so much violence. People don't have understandable reasons to kill (E) The author included this so that the reader can have predictions about what is going to happen and also so the story can be more intresting.
